System notifications
By default, general system notifications regarding the status of Climatix IC and its services are built by system administrators and then displayed globally on the Climatix IC landing page. Examples of such system notifications include:
- Notifications about maintenance work,
- Notification of new deployments,
- Information about temporary disruptions to specific functions.
These system notifications are displayed both on the landing page and via an info icon in the Climatix IC menu bar.
Tenant-Administrators with the appropriate permissions may, if necessary, do the following on their local tenant:
- Apply the general system notifications.
- Disconnect general system notifications.
- For example, if the system notification refers to a service that is not used in the local tenant.
- Build your own local system notifications for your tenant or modify the general system notifications. Example:
- Build your own local system notification,
- Rewrite the general system notifications to suit local needs,
- Or change the time period during which system notification is displayed locally.
Grant privileges to edit system notifications
- Follow the instructions in the chapter titled 'Assign administrator roles'.
- Select the secondary Administrator role "SystemNotificationsOverride" for the selected Tenant-Administrator.
- Privileges to edit system notifications was granted to the selected tenant administrator.
Edit system notifications
- You have the privileges to edit system notifications.
- Go to 'Administration > Tenants > [My Tenant] > System notifications'.
- Select the desired entry from the "Notification status" drop-down menu (1):
- 'Use global notification'
- 'No notification'
- 'Custom notification'
- Fill in the information for the system notification:
- System notification severity: 'Information,' 'Warning,' 'Error' (2).
- The message displayed in the system notification (3). The text can be formatted using the specified tags (4).
- The entered text is displayed in the preview (5).
- The start date from which the system notification displays (6).
- The end date until which the system notification displays (7).
- Click 'Save’ (8).
- The system notification is saved.
- The system notification is displayed on the tenant's landing page and via an info icon (9) in the Climatix IC menu bar starting on the specified start date.
