Causes

The root causes for an alarm in a plant is displayed In tab 'Root causes'. The root causes are set in the Rule editor or Scripting editor. Multiple root causes can be displayed. The user can 'Like' () a root cause to assigned higher weighting to it. Root causes with the most 'Likes’ are displayed at the top of the root causes list.

  1. Select the Root causes tab.
  2. Displays one or more recommendations for handling the alarm.
  3. Click on the most reasonable recommendation or the one most suited for the alarm in question.
  4. A recommendation with 'Like' has a higher weighting than a recommendation without 'Likes'.
  5. A recommendation with 'Like’ is displayed higher on the hit list of alarm root causes.
  6. The 'Likes' for root causes are added up and the alarm root cause with the most 'Likes' is displayed at the top of the list.
  7. Note: Only one 'Like' can be issued per plant alarm.
  1. The alarm root causes with the most appropriate recommendation for the alarm display at the first visible position and are the ones most likely to be considered when handling an alarm.
